Becci Scotcher
Becci Scotcher is a highly respected music executive with over 20 years’ experience in partnerships, programme development, communications, and international export. As Senior Grants & Programmes Manager at PRS Foundation, she oversees £3 million in annual grants and has been instrumental in embedding diversity, equity, and inclusion across all funding activity. Under her leadership, the Foundation exceeded its 50/50 gender pledge and expanded support for underrepresented creators.
A leading figure in music export, Scotcher played a key role in hosting WOMEX 2013 in Cardiff and later led Wales’ international showcase presence for seven years. In 2024, she launched UK Sounds, a national export brand amplifying UK music globally. Her strategic vision has shaped major initiatives including the PPL Momentum Accelerator, Prelude with Amazon MGM Studios, and the Early Career Promoter Fund.
Serving on the boards of EMEE and Manchester Music City, Scotcher continues to champion inclusivity, collaboration, and global opportunity in music and was inducted into the Music Week Women in Music Roll of Honour in 2025.

Janis Shen
Janis Shen is of counsel at CoveyLaw, where she leads the Arts and Entertainment Practice. Her practice focuses on business affairs, artist representation, strategic guidance for brand longevity, and transactional legal services for the Arts and Entertainment industry, which includes, among others, services in connection with recording, publishing, rights management, production, artist licenses, producers, filmmakers, writers, composers, digital entertainment companies, performing arts centers, business development, touring and live performance, influencers, content creators, and merchandising. Janis founded her own entertainment law office in 2009. Before starting her own firm, Janis was a senior associate at the Law Offices of Howard Sadowsky, P.C., she served in Business Affairs Administration at RCA, RCA Victor, and Manager, Business Affairs at TVT Records.
Janis holds a J.D. from New York University, where she was co-founder of the Intellectual Property and Entertainment Law Society, and received an Honors B.A. in literature from the University of Michigan. She is admitted to the New York State Bar and is conversant in Mandarin Chinese.

Pilar Aguilar
Pilar Aguilar cuenta con más de 15 años de experiencia en el sector cultural, habiendo desarrollado su carrera en instituciones públicas y privadas a lo largo del territorio español con especialización en la coordinación de proyectos culturales.
Es Doctora por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid y, desde 2017, ejerce como profesora en la Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, donde actúa como Directora y Tribunal de Trabajos Fin de Grado y en la Universidad de Vitoria-Gasteiz EUNEIZ, en el Grado de Producción Musical.
En 2021 se incorporó a Sympathy for the Lawyer, grupo empresarial de referencia en la industria musical, donde actualmente dirige el Departamento de Subvenciones y Ayudas Públicas —el único especializado en ayudas a la industria musical a nivel nacional— y ejerce como Business Project Manager en Incentiva Music, división orientada a la gestión económica y financiera en música en vivo.
En 2024 y 2025, el grupo fue reconocido como mejor business manager del año por la lista internacional de Billboard.

Executive Director – European Music Managers Alliance, Director of Comms – EMEE
With a focus on export, talent development, funding and equality in music, Jess’ work takes a variety of forms to support the international music ecosystem. As Executive Director of the European Music Managers Alliance (EMMA) and as part of the core team of the European Music Exporters Exchange (EMEE) her work focuses on supporting European Organisations to maximise their impact.
With a passion for equality in music, she was responsible for setting up and developing the European project Keychange for the PRS Foundation. She’s created and delivered impactful programmes for Annie Mac, British Council, Wide Days, Brighter Sound and many more. Through this work and as founder of the print magazine London in Stereo, she has shown she is a proactive and knowledgeable champion of new music, international collaboration and sustainable careers in music.
