The Spanish Music Academy has confirmed that the gala for the third edition of its awards will take place on May 26, 2026, in Madrid. For the third year in a row, these awards will bring together numerous professionals and artists from the Spanish music industry, solidifying its position as a key event for the sector.
Along with the announcement of the date, the Academy has opened the application period, which will be available until February 2nd at 10:00 PM and can be done through its official website.
In the previous edition, nearly 4,900 submissions were received, from which more than 140 artists were selected. The gala recognized the work of performers such as Rozalén, Amaia, Dani Fernández, Nathy Peluso, and Alcalá Norte, and featured performances and appearances by prominent figures in music and culture. The event was broadcast live on both La 2 (RTVE) and the Academy’s YouTube channel.
Since their inception in 2014, when artists such as Arde Bogotá, Iván Ferreiro, C. Tangana, and Silvia Pérez Cruz were honored, these awards were created to celebrate the diversity and quality of Spanish music. With this third edition, the awards solidify their position as one of the most important recognitions in the music scene, and further details and nominations are expected to be announced soon.
