The Ministry of Culture is calling for €1 million in aid to support performing arts and music industries affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Ministry of Culture, through the INAEM (National Institute of Statistics and Geography), will open the application period on July 3 for direct aid of up to €25,000 per beneficiary, intended to compensate for operating expenses resulting from the damage caused by the DANA (Dana), which occurred on October 29. The total budget is one million euros.

The program, part of the Valencian Culture Reconstruction Plan, will subsidize individuals or legal entities in the performing arts and music sectors who have suffered damage to property, technical equipment, or materials between October 28, 2024, and December 31, 2025. Each beneficiary may receive up to €25,000, although if they have received other public aid, adjustments or prorated amounts will be applied if demand exceeds the available budget.

Applications, which must be submitted electronically—although self-employed individuals may opt for in-person applications—will be open from Thursday, July 3rd to Friday, July 11th at 11:59 p.m. through the Ministry of Culture’s website. This initiative complements other measures already adopted following the DANA (National Cultural Recovery Act), such as the creation of the Office for Cultural Recovery (ORC), aid to bookstores, movie theaters, heritage and archives, and technical support for assessing architectural damage and stabilizing documentary collections.
