Major Arenas Across the Spanish-Speaking World Unite in a New Association to Promote Cultural Cooperation

A new international initiative is bringing together leading arenas from across the Spanish-speaking world to strengthen cultural cooperation and collaboration within the live entertainment industry. The Spanish-Speaking Arenas Association (AHAE) aims to connect major venues, promote the use of Spanish within the global live events ecosystem, and foster joint projects that support the international circulation of music and the performing arts.

The live entertainment industry has a new international initiative: the Spanish-Speaking Arenas Association (AHAE). This organization was created with the aim of connecting major cultural venues across the Spanish-speaking world and strengthening collaboration among them. It also seeks to promote the use of Spanish within the ecosystem of large-scale live events and to develop joint projects that support the circulation of music and performing arts.

AHAE is structured as a cooperation platform bringing together arenas and auditoriums from different countries, designed to foster both cultural and professional exchange. Among its objectives are advancing the professionalization of the sector and raising quality standards in venue and event management.

Its main areas of activity include building an international collaboration network among arenas in Spanish-speaking countries, promoting initiatives that showcase Spanish-language musical culture, and encouraging management models that enhance both the audience experience and the working conditions of artists and industry professionals.

The initiative was presented during the International Live Music Congress (ILMC), held in London from February 24 to 27, 2026—one of the most important gatherings in the global live music industry—which served as the platform to introduce the project to the international sector.

In its initial phase, AHAE includes six founding members: Movistar Arena Argentina, Antel Arena Uruguay, Movistar Arena Bogotá, Foro GNP Seguros Mérida, Movistar Arena Madrid, and Auditorio GNP Puebla. The association is also working to incorporate additional venues, including spaces such as Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona and BEC Arena Bilbao.

With the launch of this association, participating venues aim to strengthen the presence of Spanish-language culture within the international live entertainment circuit and open new avenues for cooperation among cultural infrastructures that share a common language, market, and global outlook.
