The British government has unveiled a music growth package worth up to £30 million as part of its new Creative Industries Sector Plan. This initiative seeks to optimize support for artists, venues, and streaming professionals, with the aim of strengthening both domestic talent and the United Kingdom’s international cultural leadership.
According to data from the Ministry of Culture and Sport, this increase represents 3.6% of total employment in the country, consolidating the sector’s recovery after the health crisis. In 2019, cultural employment stood at 710,000 workers, while in 2024 the figure has reached 771,000, thus surpassing pre-pandemic levels.
On February 28, the Ministry of Culture opened the application period for the 2025 “Grants to Non-Profit Entities for Cultural Action and Promotion.” The provisional funding is €1.99 million, with the possibility of an increase.
